Structural indicators and toxic species of cyanobacteria of Pskov Lake

چکیده

The cyanobacterial communities of Lake Pskov were studied in several seasons 2021, and a comparison was made with the data earlier studies. Data on taxonomic composition quantitative characteristics cyanobacteria have been obtained, some species toxic to living organisms are shown. 196 taxa phytoplankton total recorded at four permanent stations lake, 15.8% which cyanobacteria. most similar terms specific summer autumn. Some indicators cyanobacteria, such as their abundance biomass, minimal maximal spring summer–autumn, respectively. Toxic potentially belonging genera Anabaena, Aphanizomenon, Lyngbya, Microcystis, Nodularia, Nostoc present among detected each year. contribution representatives these varied from 4.0% 65.0% In summer, share above number microalgae accounted for ~40.0%. greatest role noted algae Microcystis aeruginosa (Kützing) Kützing, causes “blooming” reservoirs also produces toxin microcystin hepatotoxicity. Any study requires constant monitoring content cyanotoxins, especially autumn, when maximum biomass including species, is observed, may lead serious consequences.

Toxic Picoplanktonic Cyanobacteria—Review

Cyanobacteria of a picoplanktonic cell size (0.2 to 2.0 µm) are common organisms of both freshwater and marine ecosystems. However, due to their small size and relatively short study history, picoplanktonic cyanobacteria, in contrast to the microplanktonic cyanobacteria, still remains a poorly studied fraction of plankton. So far, only little information on picocyanobacteria toxicity has been r...

postnatal studies of bats (pipistrellus kuhlii and miniopterus schreibersii) & histomorphology and histochemistry studies of organs and diseases of (neurergus microspilotus and n. kaiseri)

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
